Covering Communities
Throughout life you are always going to be surprised by something. Whether it be from a person or a pet, there's always something new to learn from the creatures that are closest to your heart. One of the best examples of these surprising encounters is from the people that build up your community. Being that I live in the country you may think that there’s not a lot to learn about the people who live there. No more than twenty houses surround my own and spending almost nineteen years there you may figure that you would already know everything there is about everyone who lives there. Even though this may be the case in most instances, there are still a few things I learned about them over the past few weeks. One of these things is that, no matter what seems to happen in your life, when you live in a small community like mine, everyone knows about it. I suppose it’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it is slightly funny how quick things get around.

I can relate to what your saying about the small town community. It seems like a lot of this blog is leading up to the main point and then after the point is introduced it just ends there. Don't get me wrong, i think you did a good job, but i just think you could elaborate more on your main point.
ReplyDeleteGood build up! And then I wanted to know the gory details!
ReplyDeleteIt would be so fun, in my opinion, to live in a "country setting". All the adventures you could go on :) Nice post.

ReplyDeleteI liked the poetic quality of this blog, but wanted more! Maybe a quick description of the community, the neighbors, something -- but that's material you can certainly exploit for future blogs.

I also live in the country, so I know exactly what you mean.
ReplyDeleteI come from a small town so I can totally relate to the sense of community – or I should say lack of privacy :-) but continue on that theme and give us the juicy details! Any particular “thing” or funny story?
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm missing out. I know nothing about my neighbors.
ReplyDeleteHopefully your community wasn't like the game telephone. Where the story gets twisted into something completely different. Good post but tell us more.
